From nervous beginners to confident professionals, Mid-Atlantic Center for the Performing Arts caters to all levels and ages, including dance lessons for children and adults. Dance classes offered include Creative Movement, ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, hip-hop, tap, and all contemporary dance styles. We now also offer full and part-time Day Care for ages 2 and older!
Performance opportunities are plentiful, from intimate showcases in our in-house theatre space, to professional Nutcracker productions at CCBC Essex ~ all dance students in all levels have the opportunity to step on the stage and shine!
Our knowledgeable, caring staff are experts at putting dance beginners of any age at ease,
and our diverse professional teachers insure that our dance students can continue at MCPA
as they climb the ladder of success!

from Bel Air, Fallston, Abingdon, White Marsh, Edgewood, Aberdeen,

CONGRATULATIONS to the MCPA Ensemble Dancers!
They were awarded the top prize of $500.00 at the annual Dancing for Dancers Benefit in Annapolis.
The winning choreographer was Shelly Masenior, for her piece entitled "Consequence of Sound".
CONGRATULATIONS!
MCPA was the winner of the first annual "Dance Off" between local dance studios at Ripkin Stadium!

FALL CLASSES START SEPTEMBER 15th!
We have lots of fun things happening this year! From ballet to hip-hop, If your son, brother, nephew, grandson, or neighbor's kid loves to jump, tumble, play sports and be active, this class is for them. Set to fun hip-hop music, this class will get the boys moving, Saturdays from 2:00-3:00 ~ First class October 4th ~ Four week session FREE! Boys who would like to continue after the first four weeks will pay our regular tuition rates. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Full time day care is only $150.00 per week, and we offer part-time rates as well. We also offer care for before and after dancecamp if needed. Rest easy and let your child spend their days with us!
MCPA is offering quality dance classes for all ages!
We are offering two new classes for 2008 ~
Ballroom Blitz!
Ages 10 and up are welcome to this fun intro to ballroom dance, held on Wednesday evenings at 8:30. Students will be introduced to various dances, including tango, foxtrot, and more. Sessions run for 6 weeks, and the last evening is an informal party to practice what you have learned.
You do not need a partner to join the fun! Parents can join their kids in this class, so please do!
Wed evenings, 8:30-9:30 pm ~ First class October 1st ~ $75 per session
($60 for MCPA dancers and parents)
All Boys Hip-Hop Class
All boys age 6 and older are invited to join us for a FREE 4 week ALL-BOYS dance class!
This will be a fun hip-hop, strengthening, agility, coordination type class, taught by
everyone's favorite hip-hop teacher Mr. Omar!
And yes, you read it right – the All-Boys class is ABSOLUTELY FREE for the first 4 weeks!
while introducing them to the exciting world of dance for guys.
Full or Part-Time Day Care
MCPA offers fully licensed day care for ages 2 to 12, from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday. We offer tons of fun free activities and field trips, and all daycare students get to choose a once a week dance class FREE!
